CHICAGO - More brazen thefts across Chicago have occurred, this time at a local car dealership on the Northwest side. The owner was not willing to speak further on the matter, but from what could be reported, it involved over $1M worth of vehicles stolen in the early morning. It appeared a heavy object was thrown through the window of the business, allowing the thieves to enter. It was not reported if the dealership has a key management system installed.
Detectives are working diligently, looking for suspects, but so far no arrests have been made.
With more and more thefts across the country, what steps are you taking to secure your building, and your valuable assets? Are you vehicle keys being controlled in a key management system, or out in the open for thieves to grab?
