HAMBURG - After breaking into a dealership’s repair shop, and prying into the key lock box, thieves were able to steal 16 vehicles, 4 of which appeared to be customers' cars.
The operation took a few hours, according to police, in a series of two different nights. Thankfully thirteen of the sixteen vehicles have been recovered, many without any damage or vandalism.
Police Captain Nicholas Ugale mentioned in the article "It's a common element, it's been going on I'd say for at least the past year," he said. "It's never gone to this extent." Our team at 1Micro would agree, within the past 12 months, there has been an extreme amount of theft and break ins at dealerships, automotive repair shops, rental car facilities, and more.
