NORFOLK - The brazen thefts across US dealerships continue, with a relentless break-in at a Norfolk Used Car Dealership. The burglary alarm sounded around 5:30 am when Norfolk Police responded to the scene.
Video surveillance shows the thieves surveying different areas of the dealership before deciding to smash through the side window, leading to the manager’s office. After rummaging through papers, personal items, and more, they were able to locate the key box. Three of them pried open the box full of keys, even with it padlocked.
After breaking into the key box, they bolted with a total of nine vehicles. So far, 5 of them have been recovered, but police are still on the hunt for higher-value cars like a BMW.
Any information that could lead to the recovery of the vehicles or arrest of the suspects can contact P3 tips or call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
