ALSIP - More thefts throughout the Chicago suburbs continue to rattle those involved. A family-owned dealership experienced an overnight heist after thieves stole keys from a wooden keyboard within their back office. Unfortunately did not have a key control system securing the vehicle’s keys.
After throwing a tire through the dealership’s front window, the thieves poured in, searching for keys to the high-end vehicles. The building alarm didn’t activate after the break-in, allowing the thieves plenty of time to complete their robbery of 10 vehicles.
The owner of the dealership, who requested to speak anonymously, was in disbelief after seeing the heist on video. He expressed fears for the safety of his team and any potential customers who intend to buy a car from the dealership.
